I am a Professor and mainly work on sea ice-ocean data assimilation and prediction, atmosphere-sea ice-ocean interaction, polar weather and climate. I am also a Steering Group Member of the WMO’s Polar Prediction Project since October 2014. I have a rich Arctic/Antarctic scientific expedition experience and have worked in the Arctic and Antarctica for more than 32 months. 

杨清华，男， 1983 年生。中国海洋大学大气科学学士、国家海洋局第二海洋研究所物理海洋学硕士、德国不来梅大学博士。2004年7月至2018年4月，在国家海洋环境预报中心极地环境研究预报室工作，先后任助理工程师、助理研究员、副研究员、室副主任、研究员等职务；2018年4月至今，在中山大学大气科学学院工作，任教授、博士生导师，目前兼任中山大学重大平台建设处副处长（挂职）和海洋气象系（筹）负责人。曾参加4次极地现场科学考察（含2次南极越冬）。

目前主要从事海冰-海洋资料同化和数值预测、大气-海冰-海洋相互作用、极地天气和气候系统、海气通量观测和参数化等方面的研究工作。目前还担任世界气象组织极地预报计划科学指导组委员、《Advances in Atmospheric Sciences》编委。详见http://atmos.sysu.edu.cn/teacher/356。
