Enzhao Xiao is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Polar Snow and Climate Change, as well as Director of R & D Division of Polar Snow and Ice Runways. He has led several projects under China’s National Key Research and Development Program focusing on the construction technologies and specialized equipment for ice and snow airfields. His research interest lies in polar ice and snow runway engineering, including design, construction, and operational technologies. Enzhao Xiao has published over 30 SCI-indexed papers, and holds more than ten national invention patents. He serves as a young member of the International Association of Sedimentologists, is on the editorial board of the Journal of Northeast Petroleum University, and acts as a doctoral supervisor and Distinguished Professor at Zhejiang University and other institutions.
